    Classes taught at SPACE 2B:
Sound Healing, Tantra, Yoga Nidra, Feminine Embodiment

    Background:

After more than 10 years of corporate life as an engineer and project manager, Shi Min went on a journey to re-discover herself, her true essence of Being.

“Who am I? What is my purpose here on Earth?”

Being in a male-dominated industry, it was through Tantra that Shi Min learnt how to connect with and embrace her feminine essence, love herself, and accept herself for who she is. Through Tantra, Shi Min was able to unleash her feminine and sensual side, and she felt free. She learnt to give Tantra massages and realised first-hand the magic of touch – With heart-to-heart connection, the ability to make people feel wanted and desired, increasing their energy levels and filling up their love tank.

With the constant fast pace and never-ending things to do in our modern city life, Shi Min craved for a breather and to slow down. She discovered meditation, the power of breathwork and sound to calm the mind and relax the body. By creating mindful sound journeys, she believes in the potential of sound to connect people with themselves and others on a deeper level.

Always learning and growing, Shi Min is on a lifelong journey into and within herself, exploring the depths of her essence, helping and inspiring people to love themselves, to be free and authentic.

What first drew you to sound therapy, meditation, or contemplative practice?

I wanted to rest my tired mind and body after a long day of work. When I chanced upon sound therapy, it seemed like the easiest way to calm down my mind and allow my body to rest. I was hooked on receiving sound therapy, that I decided to learn and give it to myself. Later on, the more I play the sound instruments, the more I wish to share with people this simple yet powerful practice!

Why does creating space for rest and awareness feel important today?

In today’s world where people are flooded by endless streams of information and never-ending tasks, it is paramount to balance with rest and awareness. As humans, we cannot be constantly “on” all the time, even machines have downtime. A little rest goes a long way to help us reconnect with our bodies again, recharging and replenishing our energy levels.

What do you invite participants to experience during your sessions?

Slow down, and just breathe. Be present to what your body is feeling. Let go and surrender to your body and heart.

What does “a space to simply be” mean to you?

A space where I can simply be myself, and be comfortable and authentic.

How do you cultivate moments of presence or rest in your daily life?

Weaving in pockets of fun and rest daily, I take care of my health and wellbeing. Fully immersing myself into what I am doing also helps me to be present and enjoy it to the max! A warm cup of tea or cacao always help, listening to music and being in nature definitely does its magic!
