    PAT

    Classes taught at SPACE 2B:
Yoga – Hatha, Stretch, Yin, Breathwork, Meditations & Mindfulness, Yoga Nidra, Himalayan and Crystal Singing Bowls
    Background:

Pat’s journey in self discovery and inner healing began with a yoga class eight years ago. What started off as a casual physical workout soon became a transformative mind-body-spirit practice and eventually led her to a Teacher’s Training Course three years later. Over the years, yoga and other mindfulness practices have helped Pat gain insights on herself, and in turn help her understand others better. It has taught her to put aside any judgement, and approach all experiences with openness, love and kindness. She is grateful for all the teachings from her teachers and mentors and she hopes to pay it forward by sharing her practice with others and help them embark on their own personal journeys.

Be it yoga, meditation or sound healing, Pat’s approach in teaching is keeping the classes fun and engaging, lighthearted and not intimidating, allowing students to learn at their own time and space. To Pat, it is important to find joy in the practice. She encourages students to explore and experiment, laugh and share, and enjoy the process of learning instead of looking at the end goals or results. Pat believes in growing together as a community. She hopes to create a space that is both inspiring and comfortable for all to be who they are, with no judgement, comparison and competition.

Why I practice yoga, meditation & sound:

In the past, I used to judge myself a lot. I had high expectations of myself, which often result in self doubts and self blame. Thoughts like “I am not good enough”, “I need to do more” and “why can’t I be like XXX” were constantly on my mind. I still do that at times, but my practice always grounds me, bringing me back to the present moment, reminding me that I am enough, and I only have to live now. It allows me to let go of my self-judgement, to appreciate the beauty and abundance around me and love myself more. And I know I can come back to this space within me, whenever i want to. It is always there for me.

    Why I teach sound/yoga & meditation:

From teaching yoga to leading meditations and sound healing classes, it has been a humbling yet fulfilling experience for me. While I continue to learn and explore, I hope to share my experience and guide others on embarking their own personal journeys in self discovery and inner healing. It is most rewarding to watch how my students become inspired and empowered through their own practice, to witness their transformation and celebrate with them their milestones along the way.

What does “SPACE TO BE” look like to you?

The “SPACE TO BE” is the pause between our breaths, the gap between our thoughts. It is a place of stillness and silence, of vast spaciousness where there is no limits and no boundaries. It is a space that always welcomes me to be just me.

What does “LIVE SIMPLY” mean to you?

“LIVE SIMPLY” is to simply live, simply be. To be in the now. We tend to overthink, over analyze things in our daily lives, letting the past holds us back, or letting the future scares or confuses us. But none of it is real. Only the present moment is real. When we live in the present moment, everything becomes simple.
