    Background:

    Trained as a Physiotherapist in Perth, Western Australia, Max has worked in private practices in rural Tasmania and Singapore. Over this time, he has had the privilege to treat folks from all walks of life, including state-level athletes, runners, gymnasts, office workers, and householders.

    In 2014, Max decided to expand his repertoire by training in Clinical Pilates (Mat & Equipment) at Pilates Institute of Queensland. He then furthered his pilates training with Polestar Pilates when he returned to Singapore. Since then, he has used Pilates as a successful tool for the management and rehab of many of his clients.

    In recent years, Max has also delved into other forms of healing, such as Reiki and Yoga.

    In his Yoga classes, Max brings his knowledge and experience of human anatomy and biomechanics to ensure that students have the opportunity to develop a strong foundation, which will allow them to progress quicker and safer in the long run.

    Why I practice meditation:

    To move into a space of increased awareness and get in touch with my true self.

    Why I teach meditation:

    To share the joy of discovering who we really are.

    What does “SPACE TO BE” look like to you?

    A sanctuary within the CBD that offers busy office folks a space to quieten down and re-find their center amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

    What does “LIVE SIMPLY” mean to you?

    To let go of the need to occupy ourselves with outward distractions by moving inwards and being in touch with the natural joy that springs forth from within. By taking the effort to meditate. It does not necessarily have to be sitting meditation; it can simply be a practice of moving through our life with a bit more awareness and deliberation.
