Yoga Nidra, Singing Bowls, Gongs, Crystal Bowls

    Background:

Felicia came to the practice of Yoga in 2005 looking for an alternative way of healing. Through her own life experiences and challenges, yoga and meditation have been vital in her toolbox of life; for body, heart and mind. Over the years, as she sought balance and alignment in her life, her practice took her on a deep inward healing journey. She found herself drawn to other energy healing modalities such as Sound and Reiki, resonating with her other passions such as her professional work in the wildlife and nature conservation industry and her personal faith – where we are all connected through the same universal energy and web of life.

Through her life and work in conservation, she has observed how, many people are struggling to heal and manage their own life challenges, let alone that of the natural world. Driven by her personal healing journey, her heartfelt desire is to share the teachings and practices with others seeking wholeness and healing, especially those managing anxiety, stress, depression and trauma; encouraging them on their inward journey. At the same time, she believes that by reconnecting with our true nature, we will also recognise our connection to the natural world. Our personal healing gives way to empowered relationships with others and the world around us.

Felicia’s life purpose now works to serve the nature conservation community on an independent level and as a Yoga and Meditation teacher. Apart from conservation consultancy, she also offers, iRest® yoga nidra meditation, Restorative yoga, Hatha yoga, Sound therapy and Reiki treatments. As a nature lover and wanderer, she hopes for others to seek ways to experience the healing powers of the natural world.

She believes in the body-mind-heart connection and how healing can take place at any time of our lives, whenever we are ready to reconnect with our wholeness. She is dedicated to contributing to conserving the planet through learning, practicing and sharing the various modalities and experiences. She aspires to create sacred spaces that are trauma sensitive, encouraging love, compassion, acceptance and strength as we walk with one another on this journey of life.

    Why I practice meditation:

Meditation has helped me to slow down and breathe, to recognise what it means to be in my being and wellbeing, it helps me quiet the noise and to listen to my heart and to the world around me more intuitively. It has allowed me to be deeply connected to my true self and to my spirituality giving me the courage to work through past trauma and seek healing. It helps me to feel grounded, plugged in and at ease.

    Why I teach meditation:

I want to share what I have learned and experienced through my practice, how these tools can lead to a life of healing and love and that anyone can practice this regardless of their personal circumstances and beliefs.

What does “SPACE TO BE” look like to you?

It’s a safe space where anyone can feel at ease and just be themselves, dropping the walls we hold up to guard our hearts from the madness of life. It is a space for our authentic self to just be …. Regardless of anything

What does “LIVE SIMPLY” mean to you?

Finding joy in simplicity has always been something I try to do in my life, it’s really challenging when living in a fast-paced society! My past work and travels to more rural and remote areas have taught me how we can live simply and with much joy. It’s more than reducing material wants, it’s about finding that stillness, that presence of the moment where nothing else matters. It’s acceptance, gratefulness and recognition of all the little things rather than looking for big gestures of life.
