CAMILLAFeminine Embodiment, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra

    CAMILLA

    Classes taught at SPACE 2B:
Feminine Embodiment, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra
    Background:

Camilla has been practicing yoga for over twenty years and teaching world wide for ten. Originally from the UK, she has lived in London, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Dubai and now Singapore. Camilla has practiced hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa flow, yin and yoga nidra. Her teaching has evolved from teaching an alignment-based and linear practice to a more free flowing creative flow which echos traditional yoga asana and philosophy and reaps its benefits but moves away from a ‘one posture/sequence fits all bodies’. Camilla guides individuals towards movements and holds that their body instinctively needs. Camilla hopes to empower students to move in a way that suits their own physical needs WITHOUT comparison or judgement and dissolve negative mental thought processes with the help of movement, breathing and meditation techniques.  Camilla also loves to teach Yin yoga and guided yoga nidra and hosts retreats in Singapore, Sri Lanka and Bali.

Why I practice embodied movement, breath work and meditative visualization:

To connect to my body as I know my body holds all the wisdom, I can spend too much time in my head. When I move and breath consciously I am taken back to my source of all wisdom held in my body not my mind.

Why I teach embodied movement, breath work and meditative visualization:

So many women feel restricted, stuck, unworthy, confused as I have done…so my life’s purpose is to hold the key to unlocking the gateway to our true potential, infinite possibilities and deep, ancient and feminine power and wisdom.

What does “SPACE TO BE” look like to you?
Permission to express fully – the good, the bad and especially the ugly! As well as be still, go within and see what lies beneath and be aware of what is really driving the show.
What does “LIVE SIMPLY” mean to you?

When we go within we realise, we have all we ‘need’ we actually don’t need much at all and there really isn’t anything to fix or prove. Slowing down, moving and breathing consciously, immersed in nature when we can and appreciating all the simple pleasures of a human’being’ holds all the gold we need.
