Description

A comprehensive pathway into sound as a contemplative, therapeutic, and expressive practice. This training brings together instruments and embodied awareness, supporting you in developing both technical skill and the capacity to guide others with presence, clarity, and sensitivity. Rather than learning techniques alone, you are guided into a deeper relationship with sound, where listening, awareness, and the nervous system become central to how you practise and facilitate.

Why This Training

In a world of constant stimulation, many people are seeking ways to rest, regulate, and reconnect. Sound offers a direct pathway. This training supports you not only in learning how to use sound, but in understanding how to hold space for others in a way that is grounded, responsive, and deeply restorative.

It is both a personal and professional journey.

What You Will Experience

Across 50 hours, you will move through a carefully structured progression that includes:

  • Foundational training across multiple sound instruments
  • Guided and experiential learning environments
  • Mentored practice within real session contexts
  • Personal practice and integration beyond the classroom

You begin by learning the instruments.
You continue by developing sensitivity.
You complete the journey by learning how to guide.

Training Structure

Contact Hours (28 hours)

Seven immersive modules, each held in a focused 4-hour format.

These sessions combine teaching, guided practice, and group exploration, allowing you to experience sound both as a practitioner and as a participant.

You will develop:

  • Technical familiarity across instruments
  • Sensitivity to tone, resonance, and pacing
  • Understanding of sound in relation to the body and nervous system
  • Foundations of structuring and guiding sessions

Mentored Practice & Teaching (12 hours)

A gentle transition from learning into practice.

You step into real session environments where observation, assistance, and guided facilitation unfold naturally. Supported by feedback and reflection, experience begins to settle into the body, shaping both skill and presence.

This is where confidence is built through experience, and where your role as a facilitator begins to take shape.

Through practice, observation, and reflection, you begin to understand not only what to do, but how to be while doing it.

Over time, this cultivates:

  • Confidence in holding space
  • Sensitivity to group dynamics and energy
  • Clarity in pacing, transitions, and structure
  • A steady, grounded presence while facilitating

As your practice matures, attention expands into session design and flow, working with different groups, and responding intuitively in the moment. You are gradually introduced to holding longer, more cohesive sound journeys.

By the end of this phase, you begin to:

  • Facilitate group sessions with greater confidence and coherence
    • Design and guide complete sound journeys
    • Step towards consistent teaching opportunities

From here, pathways begin to open. You may deepen into one to one therapeutic work, expand into immersive group journeys, or integrate multiple instruments into a more personal and expressive facilitation style.

Non-Contact Hours (10 hours)

A self-led and essential component of the training.

These hours support integration, embodiment, and the deepening of personal practice.

Sound is not only learned through technique, but through relationship, repetition, and direct experience.

You will engage in:

Daily Sound Practice
A consistent personal practice with one or more instruments, developing familiarity, sensitivity, and intuitive response

Reflection and Journaling
Observing your internal experience, patterns, and insights as your relationship with sound evolves

Integration Practices
Simple, guided explorations that connect sound with breath, body, awareness, and stillness

Listening Practices
Refining your ability to listen beyond sound, into space, silence, and subtle shifts in perception

This is where the work becomes your own.
