Living simply through meditation
The three dimensions of meditation practice
A meditator typically works on building stability, authenticity and simplicity in all his or her ‘three dimensions’.
1. The outer world of our body, feelings, senses and environment
2. The inner world of our mind, emotions, memories and thoughts
3. The world of space and consciousness itself that lies beyond the mind
Level 1: Coming to your body senses and feelings
Mastering this level of meditation involves simplifying your mind by resting your attention on what is immediately within your physical environment.
Examples of this type of meditation at Space 2B include: OSHO Dynamic meditation, Breath meditation, Mindful movement, Mindful eating, Qi gong meditation, Relaxation, 5 elements meditation and some aspects of the Integral meditation class, Sound healing, Awaken meditation.

Level 2: Mastering your mind, emotions and thoughts
The second level of meditation involves learning to get to know though observation the inner world of your mind, thoughts, and emotions. It then involves learning to exert a benevolent and wise control over our experience of this inner world by becoming aware of, acknowledging, engaging in mindful questioning and enquiry to being about insight, wisdom and knowledge; and then letting go of thoughts and emotions that are not meant for us anymore.
The inner world of our mind is more subtle, changeable and less stable than our outer environment and senses, so this level of meditation is somewhat more complex than level one, and a little more skill and practice is needed to develop competence at it!
Examples of this type of meditation at Space 2B include: Mental Clarity, Beyond Emotions, Kundalini, Awaken meditation, Integral meditation, and the psychological dimension of the Mindful Eating meditation.

Level 3: Going beyond the mind – The space of consciousness itself
Level three in meditation involves going beyond the thinking mind to explore the space of consciousness itself that lies behind the mind. Consciousness acts as the basis for our thinking, feeling and sensing. When we learn to slow our thinking down we have the opportunity to become aware of the open, spacious and expanded states of consciousness that lie deep within and around our body-mind, and that offer us both deep states of calm and ease, as well as a way to radically experience who we are and how we can relate to our world and the people around us!
Examples of this type of meditation at Space 2B include: Some aspects of the following classes have this third type of meditation included: Integral meditation, Tandava, Primordial meditation, Qi gong meditation and Ma Durga class, OSHO Kundalini, Sound meditation.
