ETIQUETTE
We have just a few things you should keep in mind when you come and take part in our classes, workshops, and events. None of this should come as a surprise to you–we are a mediation studio after all–but we believe it’s important to be open and transparent about everything. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with The SPACE 2B Etiquette policy, and we’ll see you soon!
LATE POLICY
Unfortunately, we do not let people in once the door is closed. So please arrive 5-10 minutes before your class to allow for easy preparation and transition. While we want everyone to enjoy our classes, coming in late does disrupt the flow and is disturbing to those who are already meditating.
MANDATORY CELLPHONE CHECK-IN
To ensure that everyone has a distraction-free experience, we require all phones to be turned to silent or powered down when you arrive. If you need a charge, just ask us! For the same reasons we ask that you not make or receive calls, play videos out loud, watch amusing gifs of monkeys riding bicycles with the volume on…you get it, lets keep it peaceful in here! Trust us, you’ll thank us later.
FIRST VISIT/First time to SPACE 2B?
When to Arrive
Come early! Our sessions start on time and we don’t allow late entry. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes in advance of your first session. Come early, and ease into your meditation experience.
What to Wear
Come as you are – no dress code required. Just remove your shoes and store them in the lockers provided.
After Your Session
If you’re new to meditation, your first session may bring up emotions, a deep sense of calm, increased energy or boredom. Pay attention to how you feel after your session, throughout the rest of your day and over the next few days. People experience enhanced awareness, less reactiveness, and a feeling of calm.
Just one session of meditation can create a sense of calm and clarity, but the long term benefits of meditation come with regular practice. It is recommended to meditate three to five times to understand the practice and begin to experience the immediate and long-term benefits.
The underlying premise of meditation is that your state of mind influences your quality of life. Improving your relationship with your mind greatly improves all other aspects of your life and the best meditation is the one that helps you.
USE QUIET VOICES
Just as you don’t want to be disturbed during your meditation, please be mindful of other classes in session. Please use quiet voices as you navigate through our studio.
NO DRINKS IN ROOMS (Except Water)
Please be kind to our facilities and reduce the clean up needed after each class. Only water is allowed in the rooms; please leave other drinks in the lobby, or finish them before entering the class.
NO SHOES
Please remove shoes and put them in a cubby upon arrival at the reception area.
NO CASH
We know that money comes in many shapes and forms, but we do not accept cash bills or coins in our studios. Make payment via PayLah! QR Code. This way we can make your transactions quick, easy, and trackable.
